We were treated royally and helped out immeasurably by some wonderful folks who live in Punta Banco.

Noel, the caretaker at Casa Punta Banco, is an extraordinary man, a legend in the region. He can do just about anything in the jungle - site birds and animals, catch fish, scale trees. His knowledge is awesome and his caring attention was fabulous!

Bobby and Gayle Nielsen of Burica Adventures organized tours for us, taxied us about, checked in with us by radio every night and helped us make contact with the 'outside' world when we simply had to.
